After a hectic period of heavy work and personal problems, I’m happy to say that I’m restarting my projects.
One currently started projects is:
Full FM RDS receiver for GNU Radio.
There are a myriad of FM receivers and a bunch of RDS receivers available, so why a new one? Well it turns out that all of them require an external program to decode the RDS signal and extract its contents. My aim is to provide a full RDS receiver in GNU Radio, that comprises also the signal decoder, synchronization, etc… Also, its compatible with the latest version of GNU Radio. The whole of the RDS receiver will be used for teaching in GNU Radio (telecom engineering) classes.
This project is hosted on github: https://github.com/leosam/fmrds
So what happened with the other projects?
Activity on Metis will restart soon. The project has advanced quite a bit since it (re)started a while ago, but is not yet on working order.
The weightscale project has stopped since I got a wifi scale as a gift. Although I’m still interested in finishing it (since lots of other equipment uses the same principle), I’ll give it a while before trying again.
Thats it for now.
(BTW, my server has experienced more than acceptable outages lately. I’m working on the problem and will migrate to a new one soon. If you can’t reach it, try again in some minutes)
